Supportive Living
The Berkeley does not offer traditional assisted living in which care is included in the rent. We offer independent living and the rent for an apartment includes, among other benefits, the lifestyle support of two meals a day, a wide array of activities and weekly housekeeping with flat linen laundry. We can put additional support in place, if required. This might include anything from additional lifestyle support like personal laundry or a third daily meal or healthcare services like medication administration and personal care. Before becoming a resident of The Berkeley, a health assessment is required to ensure we can meet current and possible future individual needs. Residents typically move in needing only the support of a chore-free lifestyle. Over time, as needs change, we are here to assist our residents age well so they can continue to enjoy supported independent living.

For an additional charge based on the services required, we are able to customize services to meet individual needs on a temporary or longer-term basis. This list includes everything from lifestyle to health care needs. With personal care, we can accommodate assistance during an occasional illness as well as hourly care, including help with bathing, dressing and companionship.
We can add any of the additional services in the menu below to meet a resident's specific needs. If this is of interest, please ask for an Additional Services brochure where the cost of each service can be found.
